THE nursery and reception children at Tavistock Community Primary school have been working hard to brighten and tidy up their playground and garden (above).

Recently the children welcomed their parents and grandparents into school for a 'planting with parents' afternoon to help with this project.

During the afternoon, parents and children enjoyed planting in brightly painted milk cartons and welly boots as well as decorating pebbles.
