A PUBLIC exhibition to show off plans for the former Harewood House in Tavistock, due to take place this evening, has been cancelled.

Churchill Retirement Living, which is preparing an application for a new retirement living development at the site, was due to hold an exhibition at the United Reformed Church in Russell Street this evening (Tuesday), where members of the public would have been able to see the proposals and meet members of the development team.

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, the exhibition has had to be cancelled.

Andrew Burgess, group land and planning director for Churchill Retirement Living, said: ’Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we are not in a position to proceed with our planned public exhibition in Tavistock today (Tuesday, May 2). We hope to be able to reschedule the public exhibition in due course and will update the local community as soon as possible on a revised date.

’We apologise for any inconvenience the postponement may cause.’
