AFTER a surprise 2-1 away defeat against Bickleigh the previous week with the only Zeal goal coming from Steve Pillivant, South Zeal got back on track on Saturday with a well earned victory at Seaton.

On a hard bumpy pitch Zeal took control of the game and went ahead after 15 minutes when Harley Cann took advantage of a mix-up in the Seaton defence and finished well into the roof of the net.

Zeal could have

increased their lead several times but could not capitalise on good approach work and paid the penalty on the half-hour when Seaton equalised with a well taken goal.

In the second half it was all Zeal but they could not convert chances into goals and hit the woodwork four times before a shot from Roger White was saved on the line by a Seaton defender?s hand and Pillivant stepped up to convert the penalty.

This Saturday away to Heavitree, kick-off 3pm. Saturday April 26 away to Crediton, kick-off 3pm.
