A SECOND-hand book sale at the National Trust's Buckland Abbey is taking place from tomorrow (Friday) to Sunday, August 16.
Each day from 10.30am to 5pm there will an opportunity to pick up bargain books, CDs and DVDs at the former home of Sir Francis Drake.
All proceeds from the sale will go towards the upkeep of the property. There is free admission to the book sale, with normal admission prices to the abbey and grounds.
The sale has been organised by some of Buckland's 260 volunteers.
Jonathan Cummins, visitor services manager at Buckland Abbey, said: 'This weekend could be a chance to pick up a bargain or unusual book from those kindly donated to us by our volunteers and local people.'

Buckland Abbey is open to the public every day from 10.30am to 5.30pm until August 31, and from September 1 it will close on Thursdays. Normal admission applies to all events unless otherwise stated.
