THESE sides produced a hard fought match although quality football and goalscoring opportunities were at a premium.
The solitary goal came shortly before half-time. Paul Tomkies won the ball 30 yards from goal and then produced a perfect shot to find the top corner.
The pattern of the second half was one of the visitors continuously attacking. However, despite losing both Neil Kinger and Chris Adams through injury, Gunnislake defended well and ensured their goal was rarely threatened.
This Saturday sees an in-form St Minver visit Gunnislake.
On Sunday afternoon Gunnislake play St Stephens Borough at Langsford Park, Tavistock.
And on Tuesday evening Gunnislake play their third fixture in four days when St Ann's Chapel visit them.
