THE annual Bere Peninsula 10k Road Race was held on Sunday in aid of Bere Community Project.
Local and club runners set off to follow a picturesque route through the village down to the River Tamar and back up to Bere Alston School.
The newly formed ladies? club Bere Alston Trekers did very well with everyone finishing, but the first over the line was Robin Musgrave in 44.13.
The 1st lady and 2nd to finish was Helen Smith in 48.37 followed by Lawrence Sargeant and Mark Beckenham.
All the trophies stayed on the peninsula with Robin Musgrave also winning 1st veteran, Chris Poole 2nd lady and 1st veteran and Ruth Charlton 3rd lady and 2nd veteran.
