students at Kelly College have notched up an excellent set of results, with an overall pass rate of 94% ? 43% of the youngsters gained passes at A* and A grade ? the highest percentage in the history of the school. Among this year?s top students are George Webb who attained ten A* and A grades, Luke Sutton and Freddie Frost who gained nine point five A* and A grades, Paul Hutchins and Emma Passmore who attained nine A* and A grades plus a B grade, and Tom Matthews who achieved ten GCSEs, six at A*, three at A and one at B grades. David Hill, Kelly?s paralympic finalist, passed all his exams with an A* in sports studies and an A in Design Technology ? in addition to swimming in the Welsh Disability Championships in Swansea this summer, knocking 17 seconds off his personal best in the backstroke and winning two silver medals. Mark Steed, headmaster at Kelly, said: ?I am absolutely delighted for each and every one of our students ? they have worked tremendously hard and they have earned these results. ?Our outstanding team of teachers will be so pleased that all their hard work and commitment to the students have been rewarded with these fantastic grades.?
