THE Dartmoor Partnership, the official tourism organisation for Dartmoor and based at Okehampton Business Centre, has a new addition to its team.

Will Allan, who joined through a temporary placement organised by Exeter University's graduate placement scheme, is the partnership's new membership communications officer.

Will is responsible for PR, communications and raising the profile for Dartmoor, as well as managing the 540-strong business members that make up the partnership.

He has been raising the profile for Dartmoor and busy setting up a press department, organising media visits and features, writing press releases.

Will, who is a graduate of Plymouth University, Seale-Hayne Faculty, studied tourism management and graduated in 2003. Since then he has been working in tourism all over the world, including Turkey, Bulgaria and New Zealand and gaining valuable experience.

Jess Whistance, manager of the Dartmoor Partnership said: 'Will has performed a superb job in such a short space of time and has really started a great legacy for the Partnership and Dartmoor as a whole.'
