VISITORS to the forthcoming Tavistock Food and Drink Festival will be able to take advantage of a park and ride service being operated from Crowndale. The original venue at Tavistock College has been cancelled because of building work, so the site will now be in the same field used for the balloon festival. Festival chairman Jeffrey Stackhouse said: ?Fortunately we have been able, at short notice, to arrange to use a three acre field in Crowndale which will ensure there will be no shortage of parking during the two day festival.? Visitors will be able to use the free shuttle bus service which will drop off and pick up passengers in Bedford Square. Car parking will be £3 for the day. Final arrangements for the festival on July 30/31 are now underway and 71 exhibitors have confirmed their attendance.
