THE Tavistock branch of Muscular Dystrophy Campaign is £700 better off thanks to the generosity of the Coads Green Amateur Players.

David Dodd, chairman of the Tavistock MD Group, and Ewart Tapper, received the cheque at a recent presentation evening.

The players also presented a £250 cheque to James North for the George Appeal, which raises funds for the preservation and protection of maternal and neonatal health in Devon and Cornwall, and £250 went to Macmillan Cornwall branch.

The cheques were presented by Richard Trewin (left), chairman of Coads Green Players. The money was raised by the players from their recent pantomime, Dick Whittington.
