OKEHAMPTON started off strong with forwards Jo Moppet and Lesley Gibson making excellent play.
However Mannamead scored the first goal. This got Okehampton fighting hard with Viv Whetherington and Joey Drake storming towards Mannamead's defence which resulted from a goal by Drake.
Okehampton's Hannah Whitely made a great run towards the goal with Jane in perfect position to score to give them the lead..
After half time Mannamead fought hard to get a goal but Sandy Douglas and Carol Taylor defended well. Okehampton's attack worked in harmony moving at fast pace toward the goal where Whetherington finished off to extend the lead.
Mannamead still fought hard but in defence Rachel Hammett and Sophie Whitely cleared any attempts at goal. The home side increased their lead when Jo Moppet made a great run to score a superb solo goal.
Okehampton's attack took charge supporting each other well and allowing Whetherington to score her second.
The home side were comfortably ahead but this didn't stop Mannamead attempting to break Okehampton's defence. Whetherington and Moppet used their pace to create space for Gibson to crack another goal past Mannamead's goalie.
In the final few minutes Jo Moppett skilfully made a backwards flick for goal number seven.
