THREE men smashed their way through locked glass doors and into the Waitrose supermarket in Okehampton in the early hours of last Thursday, stealing £10,000 worth of cigarettes and cigars.
Once inside, the offenders forced open an internal kiosk and stole the large quantity of cigarettes and cigars. The break-in occurred at 1.30am. It is thought the men were all wearing gloves and balaclavas.
Anyone who was in the area is being asked to think about whether they saw three men sitting in a vehicle nearby, even if it was a lot earlier in the evening. Were there three strangers in any of the pubs or other areas around town that evening?
