Plymouth and West Devon Combination division one

Plymouth Parkway 1

Ordulph FC 4

THE Ordulph moved up the table with a convincing win away to Plymouth Parkway.

Despite the difficult pitch conditions it was the visitors who settled the better out of the teams.

Ordulpth side had Tony Rawlings back and he put in a solid performance for this team.

The home team took the lead when Ben Stephens found himself bearing down on goal and despite the close attentions of a defender unleashed a clinical finish. James Aggiss almost made it two, after good work by Phillpotts, when his close range shot was cleared off the line. From the resulting corner Aggiss then headed against the bar.

Parkway drew level, against the run of play, as a cross-cum-shot was tapped in at the far post.

Parkway were not level for long as Phillpotts, playing on the left wing, headed in to put them back in front.

Ordulph began the second half the better team, and the game seemed over as a contest when Parkway were reduced to 10 men.

The home did have a couple of long distant shots, one of which rebounded off the bar.

Stephens then killed the game off when he clipped in the third for Ordulph.

James Aggiss then set up Seb Krotke to volley in the fourth.

Phillpotts, Stephens, Payne all came close to extending the lead for Ordulph, and a great first time effort by Sherrell almost got the fifth in stoppage time.
