GARETH Holt was one shot away from the course record at Okehampton Golf Club, in the President's Day Medal on Saturday.

In blustery conditions Gareth compiled a superb round of 66 gross, 62 net, to win the first prize in division 1.

Club president George James enjoyed his day and after playing with the captain John Spry and professional Simon Jefferies he presented the prizes to the lucky winners.

Division 2: 1, Barry Down, 41 points; 2, John Tolley, 40 points; 3, Nick Atkinson, 39 points.

Division 3: 1, Phil Atherton, 41 points; 2, Alan Jones, 40 points; 3, Paul Reynolds, 40 points.

Ladies: 1, Jenny Hutchinson, 39 points; 2, Doris Jewell, 32 points; 3, Gloria Cooper, 31 points.
