COMMUNITY well-being was the subject of a part-workshop, part-brainstorming event held by charity One Okehampton at the Ockment Centre on Monday.

Charity founder Rebecca Green led the sessions, held at lunchtime and in the evening, to discuss the One Okehampton asset mapping project.

An asset map aims to put people in touch with other people and services in the community who can boost their well-being.

Mrs Green, whose charity One Okehampton staged the free Elf Outpost event for children in the community last Christmas, said they wanted to find ways to ‘bring this community together in a way that isn’t overly officious and isn’t scary and overwhelming; small practical ways we can make a big difference’.
