OLYMPIANS will be showing off their skills this weekend, not in London, but in Dousland as the village holds a charity Olympic day.
The community day on Saturday (August 4) will raise money for the 42 Commando Welfare Fund and for a memorial bench in the village.
Eighteen teams of four 'Olympians' are taking part in the games, in the corner field opposite the Burrator Inn, and a hog roast, Pimms and a beer tent will be on offer to spectators. Children's events will also be held in the afternoon.
The event takes place from 10am to 6pm.
