OLIVER Lake represented Tavistock Primary School at the British Schools Biathlon Championships held at Macclesfield.
For the Year 6 boys, the biathlon consisted of a 1000m run and a 50m swim.
Oliver qualified for the national championships at the Southern Schools Biathlon held in Newbury back in October, in third place overall winning a bronze medal on this occasion.
At Macclesfield Oliver produced a personal best swim in the 50m freestyle of 33.35, putting him in seventh position.
In a strong field for the run he produced another personal best time of 03.47.37, putting him in 16th position. This placed him in a credible 12th place overall.
Oliver received a certificate of achievement and a tee-shirt for his accomplishment.
