ROLL up for the big open air millennium picnic gig on Sunday July 23.

The grounds of Lydford Castle will explode with cries of laughter and gasps of amazement as the Old Rope String Band from Newcastle entertain us with their spectacular wellie boots dance, then thrill to the spectacle of the lovely Tim being lowered head first into water as he attempts to play Handel's water music on the accordion.

Great venue, great band, great value at only £4.50 adults, £2.50 kids.

The castle grounds are open from 5pm to picnic; a bar is on site.

This is the only south west Old Rope String Band date until March 2001; don't miss them, music and mayhem abounds.

Suitable for all the family.
