CADETS from Okehampton’s RAF Air Cadets and Army Cadets helped to make Devon Royal British Legion’s concert for remembrance a great success.

The Devon branch hosted an evening of music in Exeter on November 2, with a performance from Okehampton College Big Band, who were performing just days after returning from New York.

The cadets performed a variety of duties. Cadet sargeant Robin Dalton was chosen to escort the mayor of Exeter for the evening.

Air cadet squadron leader Andy Oliver said: ‘I am delighted that the cadets from Okehampton are so highly thought of and were asked again by Devon Royal British Legion to assist. Smart, helpful and courteous — wearing poppies with pride. A fine example of the youth of today, our future. Well done.’
