Okehampton District Round Table is hosting a fundraising cycle ride this Saturday (October 4) to raise money to support of a hit-and-run victim and his family.

Matt and Sarah Retter had their world turned upside just a week after their wedding, when Matt, a member of the Round Table, suffered life-changing injuries in a hit-and-run collision earlier this month.

Matt now faces a long recovery and, to support his family while he is unable to work, the Okehampton Round Table is inviting members of the public to participate in a cycle ride along the Granite Way.

The event will take place from 8am at the Granite Way Cycle Hire. Cakes and refreshments will be available and children’s bike safety checks will be on offer.
