TWO Okehampton teams took part in the Dream-a-way classic at Woodbury Park recently.
The 'Oke Dokeys' comprised Paul Skidmore (also sponsor), Del Owen, Russell Dibble and Richard Reid. The other team, sponsored by Hyundai, were Barry Hodges, Bob Davies, Nick Heath and Rod Wright.
Both teams played well; the Hyundai team were 9th, but the 'Oke Dokeys' were in superb form and took first place with 92 points, beating their nearest rival by six points. Paul Skidmore was fourth in the individual competition; he and Del Owen claimed a couple of nearest the pin prizes each, and Robert Reid had a share of the 'Nearest the Gnome' prize on the 18th.
Rod Wright from the Hyundai team won for nearest the pin on the 17th hole.
The Oke Dokeys won a holiday in Andalusia, as well as individual trophies.
