IN response to Mrs Ramsdale's letter (March 22) we would like to reassure her and all our visitors that we will not be making major changes to the Cider House Gardens at Buckland Abbey, Garden and Estate.

The previous owners have created a beautiful garden over many years and we have no intention of over-egging any essential work that we carry out.

The outdoor team have been working hard to maintain and improve the gardens as appropriate for daily opening and we will ensure it remains a wonderful place to visit.
