On September 1 and 2 a Carpet of Flowers celebration has been organised to replace the festival and everyone is being invited to bring a bloom along to add to the display. The church will be open from 11am to 6pm each day. During the weekend some rarely seen possessions of the church will be on display, including altar frontals and some historic pieces and there will be a bell ringing festival at 3pm on the Saturday.
