NINE members of Tavistock Swimming Club recently undertook the ASA Timekeepers course, run by Kathy Forward an ASA official.

The club members who participated in the course were Sophie Anderson, Chris Anderson, Harriet Edwards, Holly Gibbs, Hannah Greep, Neil Marks, Cameron McGurk, Kieran Rookes and Elizabeth Teague.

They undertook a one hour theory session, which explained all the technical aspects of timekeeping. This was followed by a 1 hour practical session, where they timed their fellow swimmers during a club training session at Meadowlands.

The course gave the swimmers a valuable insight into the role of the Timekeeper. Well done to all these new timekeepers.
