AN informal evening of short films made by local as well as international film makers is due to take place at Café Liaison this weekend. The event, on Saturday January 19, has been organised by West Gate Shorts, a new West Devon project set up to showcase short films.   The event will include a diverse programme and everyone is welcome, from budding Spielbergs to people who have never  watched a short film in their lives. This is the first of a series of Saturday night screenings to be held at Café Liason — future events will be held on February 16 and March 22, at 8 pm. Entry is free but donations will be welcome to cover the expenses of Okehampton Moving Pictures who are kindly providing the screen and projection. Spaces are limited so seating will be on a first come first served basis.
