TAVISTOCK Parish Church Christmas Fair will take place in the Town Hall on Saturday, November 20 starting at 10.30am.
The raffle draw will take place at 3pm, with the star prize of Brittany Ferries travel vouchers to the value of £250.
Children can visit Father Christmas in his grotto, and the Stannary Brass Band will be playing carols in the square.
l THERE will be Pudseys galore at Tavistock Pannier Market this Saturday, November 20.
Youngsters are invited to take part in a Children in Need 'Draw a Spotty Pudsey' competition — they can draw a picture at the market or bring one they did earlier.
The competition has three categories: under 10, under 16 and over 16.
Town mayor David Whitcomb will judge the entries at 3pm.
l IT will be cabaret night at the Christmas meeting of Taste and See in Tavistock.
Tracey Harding, of the TC2 Theatre Company, together with other talented singers, will perform popular songs and sketches at a fun and festive evening in the Bedford Hotel.
The event takes place on Thursday, December 2 at 7pm for 7.30pm. Tickets are available from Georgina's pet shop in West Steet (tel 01822 617277) or Linda Medland (615940) at £10 for a two-course dinner, including a vegetarian option.

l THERE's an opportunity to grab a Stetson and head to the Elephant's Nest Wild West Night today (Thursday).
This year's Elephant's Nest Cricket Club fundraiser will see the pub converted into a Wild West saloon, featuring casino rooms, cocktails and a cowboys and Indians dress code. The evening kicks off at 7.30pm and costs £20 per person. The entry fee includes a tasty Wild West buffet, one complimentary cocktail and casino chips, with proceeds going to the Elephant's Nest Cricket Club.
