KNEEHIGH are back touring to village halls with their brand new explosive show ?Blast!?. Directed by founder Kneehigh member Mike Shepherd and devised and performed by Kneehigh regulars Carl Grose and Craig Johnson along with National Youth Theatre apprentice Kirsty Woodward, Blast! will be a great night out for all ages. Villages in Action are pleased to be offering two performances of the show in West Devon. Kneehigh will be at Chagford Primary School Hall on Wednesday September 26 at 7pm and at Milton Abbot Village Hall on Friday September 28 at 7.30pm. Kneehigh?s brand of theatre is fast and funny. ?Blast!? is an explosive mix of inspired lunacy as they take a look at life and histories from the Cornish peninsula: at sand, surf, sea breezes, the delights of the 4 x 4, Cornish bards, the yachting fraternity and eating at ?al fresco?s? . Trevor Stuggs, (Carl Grose) direct descendant of Cornish blacksmith AnGog (on his father?s side) and Joseph of Aramathea (on his mother?s side) has had enough. His goat has been well and truly got. With fellow Druid and failed surfer Chough, he embarks on a course of direct action. Nothing can stop the sea of change, not even the newly appointed chair of the parish council. Blast! features the dance of the beach inflatables, live sea shanties, a small goat, the cruel massacre of several saffron buns and many interesting facts about Cornish hedges. With Kneehigh Theatre?s reputation tickets will sell fast so advance booking is seriously advised. Contact 01647 432215 for Chagford and 01822 618668 for Milton Abbot.
