THE streets of Okehampton will again see an Olympic torchbearer running through them next Thursday, to mark the opening of an exciting exhibition.
The Museum of Dartmoor Life's new exhibition, 'The People's Record' looks at life in Okehampton and Britain during the two years that Great Britain has previously held the Olympics Games, in 1908 and 1948.
The exhibition has been given the London 2012 Inspire Mark by the organisers of the Games, LOCOG.
To mark the exhibition's opening at 11.30am on Thursday, July 26, the day before the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Games, torchbearer Andy Vallance will run along the pavement down East Street and Fore Street into the museum.
Members of the public are welcome to visit on the day, and the exhibition will be available to view until Thursday, August 30.
