A NEW support group for people with lung and breathing conditions is being set up in Tavistock.
Breathe Easy is the British Lung Foundation support group network, which aims to provide a network of friends, advisors, events and activities that support and empower people affected by lung disease.
There are more than 200 groups across the UK, and practice nurses in Tavistock have been discussing forming a group in the town, for people in the region affected by lung disease.
Marilyn Crump, the British Lung Foundation development officer, will be giving a talk at the Anchorage Centre on Wednesday May 25 at 3pm for anyone wanting to find out more.
People with lung conditions and those who care for them can often feel alone, so making friends is important.
Breathe Easy provides an opportunity for that to happen. It provides information, support and friendship to anyone affected by lung disease and those who care for them.
Meetings can be varied with a wide variety of speakers on medical and general topics, as well as social events, outings and much more.
Organisers of the Tavistock group hope to see as many people as possible at the meeting.
