OKEHAMPTON looked splendid in their new kit. They took control and within the first few minutes Paul Gent hit the crossbar.

Bradley Ausden crossed the ball from the corner spot and Harry Smith scored Okehampton's first goal. Ausden made three more attempts before scoring his first with a chip over the keeper's head.

Twyford replied with a goal pushed past an outstretched goalkeeper. Okehampton won a corner and the scramble in the goalmouth resulted in Ausden scoring. Twyford took control of play with a shot on goal which hit the crossbar and another which rolled across an open goal but failed to score.

With the ball in Twyford's goal area Andrew Collier made a shot which was saved by the keeper but the rebound fell to Collier who scored.

The second half began with Okehampton awarded a penalty for handball. William Searle scored from the penalty spot.

Twyford's second goal came from a well taken corner which found its way into the back of Okehampton's net. Okehampton

responded with an excellent goal from Jacob Ayris.

Twyford scored again, making it 6-3. Okehampton's seventh came from Ayris, a powerful shot.

It was Twyford's turn to score next and Okehampton responded immediately with a perfect cross from Paul Winthorpe to Ausden who ran from just inside his own half to score again for Okehampton. Twyford scored a stunning final goal from a short corner.

Braunton U12s 2

OKEHAMPTON continued their winning run with another win.

From the kick-off Okehampton took control of the midfield with David Smith and Cameron Hanssen passing the ball well and providing wingers Kieran Alford and Gareth Osman plenty of chances with which to test the Braunton defence.

Some good crosses led to the first goal from Robert Dunn, who scored again before half time.

The second half saw Braunton put the pressure on the Okehampton defence with keeper Robert Cockwill making fine saves.

Braunton's first goal came from an unstoppable shot from outside the box. Braunton equalised ten minutes later.

Okehampton found their second wind and captain Dunn scored his third goal. Okehampton's defence held out with some good defensive play from Tom Wilson, Callum Ausden, Tom Hall and Alex Masters.

IN this cup quarter-final, Okehampton held back the favourites for much of the match and were 2-1 up at one stage.

Their first goal came from Wayne Atherton's powerful volley, courtesy of Daniel Smales' header.

Carl Poynton, dominant and creative, having hit the post did get a well deserved goal and scored another from a penalty.

The defence had a hard task and kept the score respectable; Scott Bradfield being inspirational to Bobby Hunt, Scott Tremain and Kerry Bishop.
