A REFURBISHMENT costing more than £500,000 is nearing completion at the award-winning Horn of Plenty hotel at Gulworthy. The hotel, renowned for its quality food, having retained a Michelin Star for the past nine years, is updating its garden house bedrooms with a sophisticated new look. The rooms are being designed by joint proprietor Andie Roston and will maintain the warmth of this traditional country house hotel. Large integrated LCD televisions, DVD players and Broadband internet access will be in all rooms, large walk-in power showers and some rooms will have wet rooms. Joint proprietor Paul Roston said: ?We are not setting out to be groundbreaking in the design of our rooms and our style will remain traditional but we are keeping up with the expectations of how that tradition has moved on. ?It?s about comfort, luxury and functionality and we think adding a little modern technology we can create a contemporary feel without going over the top.?
