DEVON Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT) has announced the launch of a new weekly draw and it will be run by the charity itself for the first time.
The new arrangements will allow the trust considerably to rationalise operational costs and to increase the prize fund from 30 per cent to 40 per cent with a new target of 20,000 subscribers contributing up to £312,000 to the charity's work.
DAAT's general manager Lyn Paver said: 'We now have a weekly draw run by the charity for the charity and the benefit is that we will be carrying out all the administration ourselves.
'This means that all profits will go to the fund that keeps the helicopter flying and we are able to increase the prizes.
'We expect membership to grow steadily with a target of some 20,000 subscribers and the prizes will grow as membership increases.'
Lyn Paver said that DAAT wants agents to register now to be eligible for the first draw that will take place on September 14.
Subscribers can join by calling DAAT on 01392 466666 for a membership form.
