THE Ten Tors Concert Orchestra makes a return visit to the Ariel Centre, Totnes, on Saturday July 15, 7.30pm to perform a programme of music entitled 'Summer Serenade'.

The orchestra will be playing two beautiful pieces for strings, Mozart's ever popular Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and Elgar's Serenade for Strings which will end the concert.

In addition there will be two Baroque Oboe Concertos by Vivaldi and Marcello.

The soloist for the concert is one of Britain's foremost oboists, John Anderson. Simon Ible, artistic director has worked with John on several occasions.

'It is a great privilege to be working with him again and I am absolutely delighted that he will be performing these two beautiful concertos with the Ten Tors Concert Orchestra,' said Simon.

The orchestra will give a further performance of Roger Bolton's 'New Dawn — Dartmoor Sunrise'. This new work was premiered at Yelverton in May where it was enthusiastically received. Roger has made an arrangement of the piece for strings for this concert.

Simon Ible will be giving a pre-concert talk at the Ariel Centre, Totnes on Wednesday July 12 at 7pm.

This is an opportunity to find out more about the orchestra and the music being played at the concert.
