BEFORE the end of the summer term, children at Milton Abbot Primary School led an audience on a journey of intrigue and legend with their play Mystery at Magpie Manor.

In the play, set in the 1920s, the grand Magpie Manor is in a state of disrepair. Lord and Lady Pica must take drastic action to save the crumbling house. The clan is gathered and together with Mr Fortune the bank manager and his bumbling assistants, they come up with a plan to sell off the family silver.

Yet as the rich and famous guests arrive for the auction ball, strange things start to occur and when the family heirloom is unveiled, it has disappeared.

Aided by none other than Agatha Christie herself, Inspector Spectre is straight on the case, though it seems everyone has a motive for the theft.
