MARY Tavy Coronation Hall will resound to music from blues rock to hip-hop this Friday, September 17, as a fundraising effort comes to fruition. The Big Gig features local musicians and groups such as Wat ? evoking memories of Led Zeppelin; Jamie Burn, who has recently released the album ?The subconscious of my Conscience?, with half of hip-hop crew Ragnarok; Astra Dolphin, who has played at the Exeter Autumn Festival, Air Fusion and Glastonbury and Reading Festivals; acoustic folk/country band Black Massey; young band Long Time Coming with Russell Sinclair, Rhys Barclay and John Kenna; and local singer Ellie Tattersall. with Driftwood The PA for the event has been loaned by Maxine Young, a Devon-based songwriter, singer and producer who has been on air in America and Canada as well as BBC Radio 1. She has also appeared at Air Fusion, BBC Music Live and Party in the Park. The event starts at 7.30pm and is £3, under 16s £2.
