RADIO 2 featured artist Gareth Davies-Jones will be playing live at the Tavistock Inn next week, raising money for Tavistock Foodbank.

Gareth will be playing at the pub on September 26 from 8pm.

Along with shining reviews in roots and folk music magazines, DJ Bob Harris 'thoroughly recommended' Gareth on his Radio 2 show, adding that he was impressed by his 'very beautiful music'.

Gareth's songs are steeped in his passion for Fairtrade and justice for the marginalised. He specialises in beguiling songs of historical people, stories and events.

Gareth has played many festivals and has toured up and down the UK. He often lends his musical and influential support to causes such as Make Poverty History, Fairtrade, the IF Campaign and Christian Aid.

Gareth will be performing from around 8pm and will raise money for Tavistock Foodbank on the night. There is no ticket cost, but there is a suggested donation of £5. Gareth is waiving his usual fee as a gift towards what he calls the 'wonderful work' of the foodbank.
