OKEHAMPTON College has come up with two musical ideas for Christmas presents if anyone is running out of inspiration.
The community education department, through its travel club 'Time Out Travel', has organised a trip to see 'Saturday Night Fever' at the London Palladium in February and the college CD 'Roll On Millennium' is now available.
On February 23, during half-term, a coach will leave Okehampton at 1pm destined for the heart of London's Theatreland. The price of £32.50 per person will include the show ticket (seats are in the dress circle) and transport. The coach will return in the early hours of the following morning.
Also available from the college this Christmas, is a CD written by Dominic Carnell and featuring 15-year-old Janet Lanchbery on lead vocals and the college choir, conducted by Val Berry.
'Roll On Millennium' contains two tracks of the same song — one recorded live and one in the studio. All profits from the CD, which is priced at £3, will go towards future music productions at Okehampton College.
