THERE really is 'something for everyone' at Hatherleigh's Music and Arts Festival which takes place in the town square from today (Thursday) until Sunday.

This, the 15th festival, promises four days of street performances, music, workshops, and exhibitions — many of which are free!

The music line includes The Loose Salute (pictured right), the Hot Tone Rhythm Boys, the FOS Brothers, Douglas E Powell and Central Casting, Nicola Clark, Pavlov and Eat the Rich.

The street market, again in the town square, brings a wealth of crafts, including unique jewellery, hand-made glass, basket wear, floral creations and a quality 'eats gazebo', from lunchtime Saturday onwards, with a pig roast, barbecue, crepes, fresh fruit cups, and creative cupcakes.

Visual artists will be exhibiting their pieces over the four days at various locations throughout the town.

There will be workshops on Saturday, including salsa dancing, pro football coaching, portrait sketching, ukelele, street dance and there is also a festival bookclub.

Tomorrow night sees the 'Ultimate Madness' at the community centre with a few ska classics thrown in by The Specials and Bad Manners, while on Sunday there is a combined church service, including Callington Gospel Choir and a recital by local organist Roger Cleverdon.
