THE collection day held at Morrisons and Tavistock town centre on Saturday, August 8 raised a much needed £476.51 for Little Harbour, Children’s Hospice South West’s hospice in St Austell.

The dedicated staff at Little Harbour will use the money to provide quality respite for children with life limiting conditions and their families. It’s sobering to think that it is only while they are at Little Harbour that some families are able to sit down and have a meal together because of the support of the care team.

Each month Little Harbour opens its doors to give its supporters an insight into life at the hospice. As there are no families staying at the hospice on the tour days, you won’t hear the usual noise and laughter that bounces off the walls of the house, but you will have a better understanding of the fantastic work that is carried out throughout the premises.

The Friends Group, and the families who use Little Harbour, would like to thank Morrisons for allowing it to collect at the store and the people of Tavistock who gave so generously.
