I WOULD like to thank everyone who has telephoned, sent cards and all the messages of congratulation received on my OBE for services to the National Parks in the New Year?s honours list.
Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine receiving any award as this. It is a great honour for me and my wife, Christine, who has given great support and also for our two daughters, Sonia and Clare.
I thank all the people who have supported me, as county councillor, over many years, which has enabled me to serve on Dartmoor National Park and also nationally, and thank everyone who has connections with Dartmoor for their continued support.
