A MOTORCYCLIST was killed in a three-vehicle collision near Winkleigh last Wednesday. He was named as Richard Chambers, 53, from the Crediton area. The accident occurred on the B3220, one mile the Crediton side of Winkleigh. It involved three vehicles, a Honda 500-cc motorcycle, a Red Audi and a green Vauxhall Corsa. The air ambulance attended the scene but Mr Chambers was declared dead at the scene. No one else was seriously injured, police said. The road was closed for several hours while police collision investigators examined the scene. A 21-year-old man was arrested at the scene and following questioning was bailed uncharged to reappear at Heavitree Road Police Station, Exeter on April 4.
