AN ORGANISATION which helps people with learning disabilities in the East Cornwall area held an event to launch its DVD during Learning Disability Week.

The Morley Tamblyn Lodge, which is based on the edge of Liskeard, welcomed 150 people to a barbecue and disco last week.

The DVD/CD 'Heal the World' involves local communities and consists of music and film about working together, getting on with one another and making the world a better place.

It includes a piece of music which MTL staff, clients, local musicians and St Cleer School pupils and friends had worked on for some weeks under the talented direction of Elize Kellman.

The DVD can be seen on YouTube under 'Heal The World' Morley Tamblyn and on the organisation's Facebook page or by ringing MTL on 01579 345858. There is no charge for a copy but any donations would be gratefully received and will be passed to the Friends of Morley Tamblyn Lodge.

Some 100 people are served by Morley Tamblyn Lodge including those from Callington, Calstock and St Ann's Chapel.
