JOGGERS across the nation are warming up for the Sport Relief Mile on Sunday March 25, and for the first time Moretonhampstead will host its own mile.

The Moretonhampstead Mile will set off from the Sports and Community Centre, passing through the Wray Barton Trail along the way.

Participants can choose to complete one, three or six miles, with all the money raised by runners used to improve the lives of poor and disadvantaged people in the UK and in some of the world's poorest countries.

Manager of the Sports and Community Centre Kate Hocking said: 'The Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile in Moretonhampstead is here and it's your time to shine.

'From teeny-tots with their mums and dads, to super sprinters up against the clock there's something for everyone on the big day.

'This is the first Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile in Moretonhampstead and it's set to be a great event. So come on, pull your Sport Relief socks up, enter the Mile and do something amazing.'
