POLICE in Tavistock are appealing for information following the theft of £1,000 worth of fish from a property on Dartmoor.

PC Dave Pickles said the fish, around 100 goldfish and four Coi carp, were taken from a pond in the garden of an isolated house near Princetown some time during August.

He said: 'Basically they appear to have removed these fish over a period of weeks.

'The thieves left a keep net behind at the pond, so it definitely wasn't birds that were responsible.'
