Liskeard U15 Girls 0 Tavistock U15 Girls 40 Captain Clara Nielson was in top form and the rest of the team, including new girl Mabel, played outstandingly well. The new pairing of Robyn Osbourne and Megan Case at scrum and fly half made a huge difference to the speed of ball movement and between them they scored five tries. Jo Abel, Clara and Catherine O?Boyle in the front row, assisted by Katy Scorer and Jess Hodges in the second tore apart the Liskeard defence. Fiona McCall and Alice Govier, who had been playing for Liskeard in the first half, switched with Jo and Catherine in the second and took over where they had left off. Mabel and Ali Huntly in the centres scored a try each by outrunning the opposition. Clara also scored to make it eight tries to nil.

Izzy De Carles for Tavistock slotted in to scrum half and she provided the ball to Kat Hair at fly half who distributed the ball to the centres. Captain Sarah Daymond was in fine form and carved her way through the defence on many occasions but the Liskeard defence was strong and they used their back line to good effect scoring from runs down the wings. The front row for Tavistock of Kirsty McCall, Paige McGechie and Alice Conn tackled strongly the whole match. Alice Warnett coped well in the second row. It was Elly Wallace who scored Tavistock?s only try when she picked up a poor clearance kick by Liskeard and ran the ball across the pitch and down the left wing to place the ball cleanly over the Liskeard line. Paige converted the difficult conversion kick from almost on the touchline. Kathryn Shaw, playing in her first game acquitted herself well with some fine tackles.
