ANYONE who has ever fancied running a marathon but isn't sure they can hit the required peak of physical fitness, may be attracted to an event taking place in Tavistock later this summer, to raise funds for the Meningitis Trust.
The Totally Unfit Marathon and Fun Day on Sunday August 11 is being held in Tavistock Meadows, with the kind permission of Tavistock Town Council.
The run will be about three miles long, and is suitable for anyone whatever their age or level of fitness.
The event is designed for the public to have fun as well as to raise both awareness and funds for the Meningitis Trust. As well as the run, there will be other events taking place in the Meadows including a tug- of-war and stalls.
