THE Lambs' Chris Gott returned for the absent Lee Beer. Adrian Payne retained his spot at left back with Graeme Kirkup, Andy Parnowski and James Cole returning to sit on the bench.
The Lambs had their first chance after ten minutes when Simon Parnell flicked on for Steve Brownlow to shoot just the wrong side of Dennis Annears' post.
Tavistock keeper Andy Meeds saved well after 15 minutes and good work from Anthony Thirlby and Parnell put Steve Daymond clear for Annear to push his low drive onto a post. Daymond saw his goalbound shot headed off the line by a defender.
Just when it appeared to be a goalless first half the Cornish Magpies took the lead a minute before the interval. The Lambs lost the ball for it to go for a throw-in on the halfway line. It was taken quickly and the ball was moved around the area for Dave Burt to lift it over Meeds from 12 yards.
Cole replaced Payne at the break and from the restart the Lambs were unlucky not to have equalised as Nathan Blamey's low cross was met by Parnell but his touch flew off the crossbar.
On 52 minutes an untimely challenge by defender Craig Hodge saw him booked and the visitors awarded a penalty but the Lambs gained a reprieve when Lee Bushby blasted his shot against the bar.
The Lambs drew level on 68 minutes when from a Blamey free kick Hodge glanced the ball across the area for Brownlow to arrive at the far post and stab home.
The Lambs' tails were up as they looked for their second goal and another chance went begging three minutes later. Cole's free kick saw Darren Babb head down for Brownlow to turn but he mis-kicked in front of goal.
Parnowski replaced Gott to allow Hodge to move forward and he almost obliged with a goal when Parnell put him through but his chip landed on the top of the net with the keeper stranded. Meeds kept the scores level with another great save before the Lambs had the chance to claim all three points.
Blamey was clattered in the back and awarded a penalty, but the normally cool Parnowski put his spot kick wide for the match to finish even.

Truro City 1
THE Lambs' three game losing streak came to an end last Tuesday with a welcome point against strugglers Truro.
The Lambs started well with Steve Daymond hitting the side netting and Steve Brownlow's rasping shot from 12 yards palmed away by keeper Duncan Ayres.
But again they fell behind to an early goal. A through-ball found Chris Wolstencroft to cross for Mark Tretheway to get to the ball ahead of Andy Meeds to slot home.
The remainder of the half belonged to the Lambs with some well controlled football creating chances, Daymond, Brownlow and Simon Parnell going close.
Tavistock got back on level terms eight minutes into the second half with a well worked goal. The final through-ball found Brownlow to go on and shoot low past Ayres.
They had the Truro defence on the back-foot from then on as they sought another goal. Craig Hodge headed in to the side-netting from an Antony Thirlby free kick, Daymond saw two consecutive shots blocked and Blamey was unlucky as his shot sailed just the wrong side of the post.
