AN Okehampton man is aiming for success in the final three races of the ProKart Endurance Kart Racing season, where he competes in the Expert class.
Matthew Porter is currently running in fifth position, after being promoted to the Expert class following his second place in the club championship last year.
Matthew first raced competitively in 1997 with the McLaren team in a 24-hour endurance race at the Le Mans kart circuit in France.
He said: 'This was an amazing experience — hopefully next season I will be returning with my own kart team.'
Meanwhile, Matthew will be racing in the local leg of the National Endurance Kart Championship this month with a view to competing in the national championships next year.
