WE would like to say a big big thank you on behalf of all the young people, parents and carers of the Tavistock Youth Café, plus to the parents, pupils, staff and friends of Mount House School, for picking TYCP as their chosen charity for the Mask and Moustache Ball.
The night was fantastic, a huge success, thanks to many hours of hard work by the organising commitee and the generosity of all those who attended.
A staggering £7,000 was raised on the night. Thank you so much, it will make such a difference to these children's lives.

I WOULD like, through your columns, to express my heartfelt thanks to the traders in the pannier market.
I have been privileged to work in the market for the last seven years, but sadly my health has precluded me from seeing my many friends for some months and it was with surprise and delight when I received a visit from two senior traders this weekend with some beautiful presents and a card signed by more than 60 traders in recognition of my 65th birthday, and my work in the market.
Because of my continuing ill health, and indeed, my age, I have decided to retire on December 3, and I would like to take this opportunity to wish all those who work so tirelessly to make the pannier market such an asset to the town, a very happy and prosperous Christmas and New Year — and once again to say — thank you.

THE Sew Wot Quilters from the Yelverton area would like to thank everyone who so generously supported their recent coffee morning.
The magnificent sum of over £1,100 was raised at Willowby Park on November 24. It was the group's first ever 'open day' where quilts, patchwork, Christmas crafts, coffee and cakes were enjoyed by all who attended.
The group members, Sue, Drinda, Sheila, Mary, Pat, Sara, Enid, Norma and Chris were quite overwhelmed and delighted with the result and the money raised will be used to benefit people with Alzheimers disease.
