IN memory of our daughter Aimee Tugwell, my efforts for running in the London Marathon raised in excess of £2,800 for the Meningitis Research Foundation. Through your paper, may I say a ?Big Thank You? to all who have supported me throughout the last few months, especially my ?running partner? Kevin Duncan, as without his enthusiasm and commitment I would have not completed the marathon miles! Another thank you to Andy Coad at the Ordulph and local bands ? One for the road, Blue Steel and Kitty Sensation, as without their contributions my sponsorship target would not have been met as a staggering sum of £1,040 was raised purely from this fundraising event. One more local thank you goes to Kevin Wiltshire, staff and parents of swim school at Meadowlands who gave so generously towards my sponsorship. Finally, a last thank you goes to my family who have fully supported me throughout my training knowing that after a long run, not to ask ?what is for tea, mum?? Personally, the headmasters special award certificate received from Mr Hermon from Gulworthy Primary School will take pride of place next to my medal!
